寇子皓，20世紀70年代初拜山水畫家閆甫先生為師，學習傳統山水畫，對石濤、髡殘、黃賓虹的技法研究頗深，遠追元人山水筆意；20世紀80年代初畢業于重慶建筑工程學院。無論是當知青、上大學，還是進機關、辦企業，再忙都沒有放松過對書法和山水畫藝術的追求。
寇子皓的作品入編《當代中國畫名家全集——山水篇》、《中國寫生作品集》等典籍；刊登于《世界知識畫報》、《中國收藏》、《鑒藏》、《時代人物》、《當代中國畫》、《春城晚報》等報刊；2013年，作品《銀杏村之秋》獲得第13屆紐約國際藝術博覽會金獎；佳作《烏蒙煙云》被意大利國立阿爾貝蒂娜美術學院收藏；2022年3月被文化部文化藝術中心聘為藝術顧問；2022年3月被北京大學聘為客座教授；2022年4月被靳尚誼工作室聘為高級理事；昆明電視臺曾對其藝術成就進行專題采訪。
